Privacy

Your data, plainly.

No tracking without asking. The only personal data this site touches is what you send through the contact form, and analytics cookies load only if you say yes. Here is exactly what happens to it.

Who is responsible

The data controller is EIGENSHIFT, obrt za informatičke usluge i poslovno savjetovanje, vl. Alex Ćetojević, Mirna ulica 4, 52470 Umag, Croatia. For anything related to your data, write to alex@eigenshift.eu.

What is collected

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, your company name, and the description of what you want to build. If you email directly, whatever your message contains. Beyond that there is no account system, no newsletter, and no tracking of you as a person; page visits are counted anonymously, as described below.

Why, and on what legal basis

Your data is used for exactly one purpose: answering your inquiry and, if it goes further, preparing a proposal and working together. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for keeping correspondence, legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your data is never sold, shared for marketing, or used to train anything.

Where it lives

Form submissions are delivered as email to the EIGENSHIFT mailbox hosted by Namecheap (PrivateEmail). The website is hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure keeps standard technical server logs (such as IP address and requested pages) for security and operations. Both providers process data under GDPR-compliant data processing terms.

Cookies and analytics

The site asks before setting any analytics cookies. If you accept the consent banner, Google Analytics 4 measures visits using cookies (such as _ga); Google LLC processes this data as a processor under GDPR safeguards including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing loads from Google. You can change your decision at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Independently, Vercel Analytics counts page visits in aggregate without cookies and without building a profile of you.

How long it’s kept

Inquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it’s relevant to a potential or ongoing engagement, and then as long as legal obligations (such as accounting rules for actual clients) require. Inquiries that lead nowhere are deleted within two years.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. One email to alex@eigenshift.eu is enough. If you believe your data is mishandled, you can complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or your local supervisory authority.
